You list your house when you have to list- New Inventory is down in the fall  - and there are still buyers out there. 

Fall is better than winter as you can get some pretty fall colors and that is good for marketing, kids are in school, and weather is cooler.

homes sell all year round.... everyone needs shelter, no matter what the season.... price it to sell, and it will.....

It is smart to list your home when you are motivated to sell.

We sell homes all year long... and the fall is one of our busiest seasons!

Many people like to list in the fall as it meets their particular needs and circumstances.

I agree with Debbie above. Buyers are looking no matter what time of the year it is...

ABSOLUTELY !  Our best quarters are forth and first...less competition ...and faster, higher sales ! 

It's smart to list your home anytime you want/need to sell. Wait only if things need to be fixed or spruced up to make it more appealing and get a higher price. You never know what tomorrow brings ie. higher interest rates, a national crises, changes in the local economy etc.

If it is priced right, yes!

it all depends on the current conditions and the market.

It only takes 30 days to close.  Many buyers want to be moved in by Christmas so the Fall could be an oportunes time to list a home.

It's better than waiting until next year or this winter.

I'm crazy busy every fall; September and October are my most successful months, year after year.   People want into a new home for Thanksgiving and Christmas!

If you are ready to sell then anytime is a good time to list.

Depends on your market.  Here it's the perfect time.

yes, price, condition, and location are more importantant to buyers than date it was listed. Many people love driving around looking at fall colors, visiting fairs and Octoberfests, etc.

The best time to list your home is when you need/want to move.

As far as I'm concerned, people buy all the time so people can sell/list all the time. Often less inventory in fall so homes sell faster. I've listed homes 6 days before Christmas and had contracts on them before year end.

Depends where you live. In Greater Boston there is no seasonality to our market. We've had extremely high absorption rates for over 2 1/2 years. Even with over 100 inches of snow last winter, buyers were out looking at open houses during week ends and still facing multiple offers.

It is smart to list anytime that the seller has a need to sell. There are buyers in the market at all times of the year.

We've had many fall/winter seasons that were very successful.  I say yes.  

Doesn't matter, you just adjust to the marketing situation presented to you.

It makes no difference in our two market locations.
