Well, I have access to the freshest cow manure around... so I don't use commercial fertilizers. And there are times I would love to use pesticides, but disagree with the concept on the whole so I don't. My husband even went so far as to bury fish he caught in the pond across the street. Our tomatoes are in fantastic shape.

A little of both. There is a tomato plant food that I'm sure is not natural (but it makes great tomatos so I use it). I also compost and use that soil.
