I have my back to the window and the desk facing the door. 

In my home office, I have my desk facing the South facing window, love looking out the windows.

When facing the window, the glare sometimes needs to be controlled. 

My preference would be facing away from the windows.

At home and my office my desk is near a window but not facing it.   I also tend to stand up and walk around -- I like distraction...it's a part of real life.

It does not matter as long as I do not have glare on the monitor.

I prefer it on my deck...but I am teathered in the basement.

As long as there is a window it does not matter; the laptop moves!

It is rumored here in Florida that the apeparance of the sun is so rare in Tocaoma Washington that one should stop whatever they are doing every time the sun appears. Facing the window aids in that celebration.

Here in Florida, the sun shines so brightly and relentlessly, agent would not be able to see their data displays....except during the torrential rains....and that is no fun at all. 

For me, I prefer a south facing window. I do not want to be facing the distractions of the interior of the office.

My window is to my right side at the opposite end of my office.

Good morning Paul. Each of my loan officers have a desk, necessary for the amount of volume that they do.

 Good Thursday morning Paul. My workstation faces the window. I like the light that it brings.

I think, it depends on the view:) but I agree, facing a window can be a destruction.

They say, you should not face the wall or have your back to the door/entrance.

My desk faces the window, so I can occasionally watch the traffic while I am thinking.

Both my office and home Office view are facing the window.
