Taking leadership roles in the regional builders association was very helpful for the advancement of my real estate career. Many of my agents have become industry leaders. One of my former agents is now a past president of NAR.

listings.listings.listings. sounds simple, but dont chase buyers, chase listings. i would list the right one for free so i can get the action off it. and i have a secret i cant tell anyone. cause i would have to kill you.lol jk. but its true...im serious. listings!!

finding a niche is not an easy task and most never find it, Evelyn....if one is fortunate enough to have found it, then that person has been blessed....and that's how I feel everyday.... agents use the word "burnout'....there is no such word in my vocabulary....if I need a break, I take a day off... I love what I do and I can do it from anywhere.... what I use to do with new construction, my team members have been trained and are well versed now.... I just market....

There are zillions of answers out there that have been shared.  We had a brand, a niche, and a track record that was impeccable.  I am not sharing anything new, nor is anyone else here.  It is really up to you,  There are people who read everything and don't apply a thing to their practice.  They see problems, they don't listen.  This is why we select our clients very carefully...A

Evelyn Johnston - working by referrals and yes, ActiveRain! At one point I was about to take 'U' turn, What kept me going was blogging on ActiveRain and calling my sphere of influence.

Career soar? Answer phone and deliver solutions.

Share? No. But when asked I am very generous. In 2.5 years one person did ask about creating inventory and anohter wanted FREE access to CIS score.

This seem to convey to me AR has more judges than seekers.

I don't think one thing is responsible but a series of good practices with a little luck mixed in.

I took a real estate sales class.  Old school as it gets Floyd Wickman star makers. And yes I have encouraged Many agents in my office to do the same.

I share all that I have.....Wish other would share their secrets ot success... .LOL

The riches are in the niches...stop trying to be a jack of all trades.

First, specialization in investment real estate. It is important if you are a large enough market area to know something so cold and so well that you can't be surpassed. Second, it takes courage not to worry about what you may be missing. Third, being involved in local, state, and national leadership in real estate has opened up opportunity for learning and sharing that you can't get otherwise.

Work.  It doesn't get much simpler.  And the other thing was always looking out for the client.  If you do those two things, success will come.
