Katie - I am a little surprised at how many people would not call on Sunday. I don't like prospecting calls in the first place, so I wouldn't like them on Monday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday, or any day.

No, not at all.  Not, for prospecting.  And, certainly not if you want them to look favorably on you.

Seldom acceptable, unless you already know them and just need to do a quick call to schedule something for Monday.

No Sundays. As an agent I hate it when I get calls on Sunday. The caller usually says...I'm sorry for calling you on Sunday, but....

OK...you have just looked at this property with my sign on it, and you want to know about financing options and you are willing to take 20 minutes or more of my time, and you don't even know if you can buy this home? But you have to have every detail about the property. I can't tell you every detail, because I have 35 listings and the year built doesn't come to mind and you really need to know that. I'm out in the woods hiking with my family and I don't have that information in front of me right now. But yet you are sorry for calling me on a Sunday?

Don't call on a Sunday! You will hit the loser list.

I do not want to get them on a Sunday so I would use that same approach for not making calls on Sunday.

If these are follow up calls and weekends are the clients' preferred days yes. Otherwise weekdays and Saturdays are best.

I would say to people you are working with or past clients yes depending on the relationship. I would not do prospecting to potential new clients, chances are that would not go over well.

personally , i am not a phone guy if i am cold calling. i prefer other softer entry points. and i wouldnt on sundays. You do so because you assume they will be there.

Katie, it all depends on your delivery and style.  I will disagree with the others and say that Sunday is as good a day as any to call.

I do not call on Sundays as this the one day I take off.  Plus I do not think buyers and sellers need calls from agents on Sunday as it is the day of rest.
