I don't understnad how a blog can be a feature straight out of the box - 2 comments - no time on the site - but some people hit the right buttons

I get as many comments on posts that are not featured as I do on featured ones.... content is king.... one doesn't need the feature to draw a crowd!!!

We still have a suggest button, just renamed, as Bob S said in the first webinar after the change to the "like" button

I have no control over it, so I don't bother with it.
As Barbara Todaro answered content can get just as many and more comments. For me content also makes the phone ring, I'm doubtful a gold star does.

Cliquey is an interesting word. I do not believe we have cliques but yes the same, active, interested people do seem to be here every day. Thats a good thing. Now, the new AR has to find a way to expand that clique with lots more people.

I do concur. I am often amazed by what gets featured versus what gets left out that I think really should be featured.

Not cliquey.
The featured blogs are the ones with broadest appeal. And quite often that means it will not be related to real estate.
After all, do you really want to read AGAIN about using Facebook to promote your business? Curb appeal? Staging?
How about how to use Pinterest for all your lead generation needs?
Real estate has so many ways to do it right, attempts to narrow the scope would be a real disservice to this community.

Good morning Michael. I'll give you the same answer that I gave Bob Crane just a few minutes ago.... Yep happens a lot. I think all my posts deserve to be featured ones...

Yes, it is important to get the informative articles even from new people seen. Those are the once that help with business and someone new may be an amazing blogger if they have done other blogs.

As we are all managing our time and editing what we read or look at no.
If it is a quality post and catches MY interest I will read and comment.

Always has been the good ole boys and girls club. Honestly I don't ever look at the feature section.

Michael Thornton I haven't seen that many featured posts lately. Maybe they're picking one's from what is available. "Called shots" were different than "likes". Maybe it should come back for better quality featured posts.

The very selective and very subjective feature recognition is not a fair process. The new ownership should impove or delete this feature.

We think is has actually improved, but the more variety will enhance the draw for more contributions.
