Why wait?  They can't sell their home if it is not listed.

I would put it in the MLS by Thursday if possible.  Lots of people are off work for three days.  I would love for them to see this one.

it's on the MLS and out there as soon as I get it.  Why wait until after a holiday?

We would hurry and get it on the market just in case some people would be driving around or looking online over the holiday. That is as long as the seller had it market ready and didn't have a house full of guests.

I have had agents want to see my listings this weekend, so I am seeing activity.  If you think of it, many people are off work, so they have ability to view homes.  It is whether you are around to manage it.  Good luck!

That's up to the seller. But, I do disclose if I will be away for that weekend and make my recommendations. The holiday weekend determines it too. No point to listing Thanksgiving,Christmas and New Year weekends. But, summer...could be big. Seller decides.

Sally K. & David L. Hanson - initially I was not for listing during major holiday weekend! However, just listed one earlier this week - and now, it's gone!

Active market - Active Buyers - so if priced right, one can sell!

Now if the market was not so hot, I'd think twice...(and blame if on weekend if there are no activities...lol!)

I would wait for the following week. I know that others would say to why wait, list it immediately. It depends on the activity in your individual market. In my market, it is like a ghost town until Monday.

I don't like to waste my days on market this way. It's very quiet here during these kinds of holidays, although I can see how in some markets it's a good idea.
