If I really need to reach them I start trying in the morning early around 8-9. Then I continue off and on until evening. I try not to call after 8 at night.

Definitely in the morning. I need to get all my questions and other odds and ends lined up for the day which can best be done at the beginning of the day. Many others must feel the same way, I get few phone calls in the the afternoon, instead, many emails.

It depends what time zone we are dealing with.  At one point we had clients in Hawaii and Back East all at once, and it was a bit hellish dealing with two coasts.  So we just do it.  A

I am a morning person. However, we make and receive calls based on the needs and desires of other.

Depends on the client. In the DC Metro area, there are a fair number of folks who can't talk during the day due to job restrictions. Other people are on their phone all day. If I need to be sure to reach someone, the morning before their work day has begun, is often the best.

My phone works all day long and so do I. You might have to leave a message but I will call you back.

When ever I think the person would want me to call them.  I call new leads ASAP.  Cold Calling I like to do in the afternoon.

I prefer 9-12 mornings and 2-4 in the afternoon for out bound calls.  I answer all calls unless I'm busy, but lately I've been inundated with robo calls about HARP telemarketers using local area codes but not much I can do except to block the number after the call.

I keep in mind the client's kept hours. I'll only call in case of an emergency if it's before or after. In my contacts after their names I add, 9a-8p. Emails go any time. Texts are usually whenever and short like " sent email needs attention asap". Works for me and simple noted reminder.

I didn't know we got to choose!  I've been on the phone for the last 45 minutes trying once more to get a closing done today.  And was on the phone last night for 2 hours negotiating offers. 

When it's sunny out...everyone is in better mood and you get better responses.

In general, I find afternoons are better than mornings as people are rushed in morning and trying to get work done.

That being said, it depends on the person.  For some of my customers where both work, often evening or Sat 10-noon works best.  For those where wife doesn't work or works part time, early afternoon (before kids get home) or very late morning.

I am finding that after 2PM most agents are willing to answer the phone. Most calls go to VM tho.

It depends on who I am communiating with, at their offices during the morning, at their homes in the evenings.

It doesn't matter as much to me as it does the clients, that is where the question should be directed for the best time.

Always try to take all phone calls as they come in and like to make them in the morning, so if I do have to leave a message, the recipient has time to call back during the day.

Interesting question. I never call people before 9 AM or after 8:00 PM unless requested.  Oh, and never during the dinner hour.

Morning for me but sometimes you have to go with your clients preference.

I'm a mood person.  Depends on my mood.  Area codes I'm not familiar with, put me in a foul mood and it goes to voice mail.  Local calls I take.

I tend to be a morning person.  If it's an issue than needs to be resolved, morning gives the whole day to get it done.  I absolutely hate giving bad news in the evening, when there's nothing that can be done about it, and ruins a night of sleep.

I like mornings but not because of the calls.

Since we are a service business, my job is morning noon and night ... so that includes phone calls.

In the late morning, and then in the afternoon. (I'd rather email or text :)

I'm a 7:30 get up guy.

You must always exercise mornings, afternoons and Saturdays. This is assuming you want more suspects to convert into prospects.

I would prefer calls in the morning. Usually I can be found on the phone past 9 PM.

Paul - I am with Bob Crane on this one. However, I do like to conduct business in the morning more than in the afternoon.

I am a morning person. If I can't reach them, then it is from 7pm to 9pm. 

I try very hard to set my appointments after 11 or 12, as I usually get more emails and phone calls in the morning. 

There is no set time for me. Some clients work and some are retired. So nights, morning, etc.

Personally, I'm a morning person. But I don't limit my calls to any particular time of day.
