Holly - Over the last year or so, I have noticed that buyers want homes in perfect condition, not matter how old the property is. They don't even want to paint a wall or anything, and yes they want all the upgrades; granite counters, stainless appliances, tile or hardwood flooring.
Between 2008-2012, people didn't care what the home looked like as much. They could get in cheap and fix it up.
I guess with the higher sales prices, they want all that done already.

Yes they are pickier and want more upgrades in the home. They will turn their noses up if it doesn't have granite, tile and hardwood. A privacy fence and refrigerator are a must. As I said picky.

Even in the lower priced homes, I am seeing buyers wanting granite and SS appliances, and definitely A/C. Our summers are getting warmer and warmer.
