I usually do not have closing words in emails. The exceptions and the letters would depend on the relationship with the party.
If I were sending a letter to you I might close with 'Yours truly'.

Currently, I don't use any. It just doesn't seem necessary.
However, I love Joe Petrowsky 's and maybe I will add that to my signature. It does have a big impact on his comments here.

I use any and all -- depends on the situation and also how well I know a person. I often use "my best."

Sincerely, Illona
I am sincere and maybe I'm a little "yesterday" too. That does not mean out of date or old fashioned, it means courtesy and respect.
Sincerely, Illona

I guess I'm out of touch. Sincerely is nice and sweet. Regards is used by Nigerian Princes trying to get at your money. Best Regards is a desperate Nigerian Prince and Warmest Wishes is saved for relatives and close friends.

Depends, but when I did research, ''sincerely' is still the most appropriate closing.
I often use: warm regards, sincerely yours, best wishes, etc.

Thank you for the question. I will add something to my email signature.

Michael Thornton It depends on how formal and to whom the letter is addressed.
