Do some "ice breaker" games that help everyone get to know each other and learn a bit about them.  Write various subjects on a piece of paper and put in basket.  Each person takes a turn at a 2 min speech on this subject (i.e., fill in the blank... "my life is very boring, but few people know ______about me", or "describe your favorite childhood memory" or "tell us about your favorite vacation to date" get the idea.  It is set up like charades where the person stands in the middle of the others, who are sitting down...a little Toastmasters game
