Without them their would be no real estate business.
Of the million agents currently active only 200k would be need to oversee cash and private funded transactions.
Make them public and you will have folks identical to Chase and Wells Fargo to deal with. And they are backing away from the mortgage business.
What's my opinion? Without them I could be flipping burgers.

If they were a "private" company they would be out of business for poor management and business decisions. It starts with risky loans and ends with how they sell their foreclosed homes. A minority og agents gets to list them, often at too low of a price, with low service and near zero care for any buyer agent who wants to see, show or sell it.
