Good morning, Gita -- I'm still laughing at the first part of your question.  Like to receive calls from telemarketers?  Really?   Unless someone is trying to achieve success in a career of heckling - I can't imagine anyone liking to receive calls from that group.

I don't cold call. It doesn't fit me.   When I was new to the business, I tried it...and I suggest to those who are struggling to find that best fit...to try lots of lead generation activities...you may not know what will work best for you.  

I'm a Buffini Realtor so no cold calls, no door knocking. I do receive 5-10 solicitations per week and 50% are calls. If I have 2 minutes I take them, I'm always interested in their technique-it's a free seminar. If they are cliche' or "suck" I wish them a great day and hang up. If they are good, I steal the nuggget and compliment them, then I wish them a great day and hang up :)

I despise telemarketer calls and have never cold called because of that reason! It's very annoying to receive and I would not want someone to feel that way about me!

Most of the things I buy is because a business person had the common sense to call. 

Do I call others? You bet.  I may be calling YOU soon.

Do I talk to them in person? You bet.

Do I forbid myself AND THEM the opportunity to acquire solutions to issues they have? NO.

Are there people afflicted with small thinking out there? You bet.

I enjoy cold calls if I'm not busy - I'll listen to a sales pitch and learn from it when I can.  What amazes me is how many telemarketers are not good at phone sales.  I wonder how much money is lost due to nothing other than poor training.  I occasionally cold call, not often though.

I despise telemarker calls. I don't make calls like a telemarketer because I dont want to be like a telemarketer. lol

I use a phone app named MrNumber that blocks telemarketing calls automatically.  If anyone gets thru, I ask them to put my number on their do not call list.  If they call again, that is harassment.  My phone keeps a call log.

Colorado law requires telemarketers to register with the Attorney General, but most violate the law.

I usually do not answer my home phone because it usually is telemarketors, and if they call me on the cell, it is not a long conversation.  I have not done cold calls since the first few months in the business.

I do not like, however the wrost thing you can do is be rude becasue they will put you on the definitely call back list. respond politely by saying thank you but please put me on your do not call back list and get an affirmation. REALTORS® should take this to heart in how homeowners repond to unsolicited calls.

I take calls from telemarketers up until 9 pm, as I do cold call myself. However, I do not answer my business phone after 9 pm unless it is one of my clients.

I tell them I'm on the do not call list and I will report them for the $10,000 fine.
