It has some similarities to Mac, more so than other Windows programs. You do what you have to do. I run Publisheer on a PC but most other programs run fine on Mac. I hated Windows 8 at first but have learned I can function just fine.

LOL I'm with Michael Setunsky ! I clung to XP as long as I could...even paid extra for it when ordering new laptops in the past. Eventually I went to Windows 7 Professional and am very happy with it. Windows 8? HATE it. I think they will still support Windows 7 for another 5 years, so I'll be there until the fat lady sings.

Michael Thornton I'm still using Windows 7 with no problems and don't want to ruin a good thing. Other than the obvious answer, I'm still wondering why they did away with Windows XP.

Michael so far so good. I haven't had any issues with it yet. I did find out for our virtual website I must use IE as it will not work using Chrome or Firefox.

I loved XP, Then I got Windows 7, which I liked, but I hate Windows 8.1. I switched my main computer back to Windows 7.

I sometimes use it at my step-daughters and I just am not used to it...but seems more complicated.

Michael Thornton - don't worry, you'll get it! You are a smart man. If you can do great home inspections, you know WINDOWS in-n-out! In fact you can teach us about Windows, correct? (just kidding....)
It's little different - and okay, not as much sturdy as Mac. I know, you can do it!

Don't like it at all. Never use any of the apps and only work from desktop.

We have been very pleased with Windows 8.1. However, it is important for your tech support person to set it up in a familiar format.
