This is one of the commercials that I do not like. It does catch your attention the first time you view it. More than one time is too much.

One of the dumbest commercials ever. I still don't really know what the point of the commercial was, and i don't really care either.

I haven't seen the commercial but then again, I can look at an commercial and totally not see it. Having said that, in this case, I don't get the underwear/car connection and generally think that car ads have become a bit silly lately.

Whether or not someone is wearing underwear doesn't concern me. I really don't think we need to talk about it on TV.

Kathleen - yes, I've seen a version of a commercial where this issue is addressed but(t) it had nothing to do with cars. It seems there is a need to expose an issue that does not need to be given any more attention.
Now I'm wondering how do they tie in going commando and vehicle technology? It sounds like a bit of a stretch to me.

I haven't seen the commercial, and yes TMI. I don't need to know.

It is an attention getter. I don't like it but my husband thinks it is fine. I guess it is a matter of personal taste.

I grew up in the 50's and I can not imagine sitting there watching these type of TV commercials with my mom and dad. The times they are a changing...

Clearly it is the PERFECT commercial. Look at the results.
You could not ask for better results than chatting about a commercial in a environment unrelated to the commercial.
Do we need to know? NO
Do we want to know? YES
Why? So the social media majority can judge them. People LOVE to judge.
The rule in marketing is it does not matter if they like you or hate you, all you want is people taking about you.

I saw this commercial twice before it really "hit home." I couln't believe I was hearing it... and it's just TMI and in bad taste, as far as I'm concerned. I'm sick of tacky commercials, tacky jokes, and tacky television shows.

Kathleen Daniels it seems their purpose is served!
They want attention - and they got it! At least I can see that since you asked the question about that commercial. Whether it is related to the product or not is not significant.

Yes, I have seen it, and yes it is to much information. But he got their attention.
