Nina Hollander I never had a floor plan made for a residential listing unless one was provided by the builder for a new home. However, in my commercial real estate practice floor plans are a must.

No I have not done it. I provide floor plans if the seller has them from the time they purchsed the house but do not spend money on a professional one.

Yes, I am totally in agreement with you on this one. I also find it to be a differentiator and it has been a bonus for me versus the competition in some cases. So I do get floorplans done if they do not exist. We have a good local service who does these and the cost is not prohibitive.

Nina, A photgrapher in my city got the Matterport camera which builds a 3D model of the floor plan. We start shooting next week and I will update here what I think. At NAR last year I looked at that and Oculus Rift and then checked our Google Cardboard as a lower cost alternative to OR. Thanks to Active Brad (his old name) for the Google reference.

no, I've never done that.... I do approximate room sizes if the rooms are worthy of it.... and I do aerials to get them interested.... too much info is just enough for them to eliminate the property....
