LA as a state or L.A. as a city? I'm in L.A. hood, feel free to give me a call.
Good luck with your new adventure:)

Well, you are at the right place. Build connections here!
If you are brand new in Real Estate, there is a lot to learn here on ActiveRain.
(Actually, that's true for seasoned agents, too!)

I just hired a gal in my area to take over extra leads I can not get to. I would suggest contacting a team or a very busy agent to learn the ropes and ask for a trial period of earning their overflow with a 50/50 split.

I would strongly recommend that you go to a real estate office and see what it's like. Maybe ask if there's an agent willing to show you the ropes or possibly intern for them. Don't believe what you read on-line.

When I started in North Idaho I had no base what so ever. Even worse California was a bad word (where I came from). I joined an Agency with ZERO training. Easily my biggest mistake. There will be no easy start. Your main focus will need be lead generation from the start. Not mailers, blogging, ads, etc. But on the phone, door knocking, handing out cards, person to person lead generation. Yes everything else works but your quickest results will be in person to person. My opinion and one I wish I had been taught from the beginning. Mark

You have a lot of courage, going to a new area with no referral base, but if I was starting from scratch, immediately start blogging.
Make it a great weekend!
