I make it a practice to 'like' the comments on my blogs. And, I 'like' the blogs and the comments on the blogs that I read. This is a good way to pay it forward with other members.

In this context a 'like' is much like a 'thank you' rather than an endorsement of the blog or comment. Until it is changed again, members receive points for the 'likes' you leave.

I like posts that are informative and of value, and I do like everyone for their comments, it is a form of thank you.  I know that when you like a post, it gives additional points to the writer.  A

I like all of them, partly as a way to say thank you, and partly as a check off that I read them.

All the time I want my colleagues to know I appreciate them taking the time out to write a reply on anyhting I post. 

Every one. If you comment on my blog you get a like. That is the best reward I can give. I think everyone should do this.

I try to like the comments as well, as it another way of saying thank you for the comment, and it nice to see other rainers liking my coments on other's posts too!

I like every comment except if it is mean or nasty, then sometimes i will delete it. Not all comments are nice.

Since we cannot delete the comments on the home page for returning comments, I always go thru every comment on every post, and LIKE them.

Hi Kathy...  I lately have been liking each and every comment regardless of what they say...  

From the perspective of a new ActiveRain blogger, I definitely like any comment as a way of saying thank you! 

I "like" as a thank you and an acknowledgement that I've read their comment.... if I don't agree with the comment, I may respond to it, but often I don't have enough time to respond to every one of the comments.... 

Yes, I do ''like'' every comments as an acknowledgment that I have read it and as thanks for taking time to visit my blog. I think it is a habit I have from FB.

Since it is increasing difficult to send personal acknowledgments, the 'like' is a good alternative to let the commenter know you appreciate the visit.

If it was a drive by comment, there exists a possibility it will be overlooked.

I've been noticing that I get a "like" when I leave a comment.  I hadn't thought about doing it unless the comment really strikes me as relevant and interesting.
