I don't carry anything on me. I do have something to protect myself in my car. 

     Mace and Pepper Spray will only slow down a determined assailant.   A knife is only good in the hands of someone who is experienced with it.

      If you are going to arm yourself, consider a large caliber handgun... know how to use it.

Oh gosh, I don't know that I'd say whether I do or don't, but it wouldn't be in anyone's best interest to mess with me.

I have always carried a Gerger folding knife. It has multiple uses, including defense. I have added a purse-sized pepper spray to my arsenal. 

Yea, 5 years ago I had 4 people run out the basement door.  I checked further and they were cooking meth.

Without giving it all away, lets just say I carry 90% of the time now.

No weapons, my weapon of choice is common sense, and listening to the voice in my gut.  When weird people would call for an appointment, I would screen them carefully, and if needed Ron came along, or our 3rd degree black belt in Tai Kwan Do.  We worked in safe areas, and secure office buildings, so that was not an issue.

Although I had a convertible roadster, I kept the hardtop on during the week as a precaution, and we would hoist off, when we were in fun mode.  A

I use to carry mace - until one day I realized I had it in my purse when there was someone who was acting strangely.  Instead of pulling it out, I just completely froze.  I was fine and nothing happened but it made me wonder if I would actually remember to use it.  After the most recent scare with the realtor who was killed, I started carrying - well I won't say- in my purse.  I usually always have my phone with me as well so I can take a picture of the person, their car or whatever I can and text it to my husband.  

No weapons for me. I do bring my smartphone with the app open that can sound a loud alarm and dial my emergency contact and 911.

Hi Debbie. This is a debateable issue. For my personal safety yes I do. I have a Florida Concealed Weapons permit and a Utah Concealed Firearms permit. I received my training from law enforcement officers and military veterans.

In my family women are strong and capable including of using guns to stop rapists in their tracks. It's not like some people who want us to be easy prey easy targets for rapists. To date I have not been a victim and I plan to keep it that way.

 Good morning Debbie. Carry a can of wasp spray. It will shoot 20 to 25 feet and it was temporarily blind your attacker. It will give you the opportunity to get away.

I feel that if we are smart about how we conduct business there is no need to pack weapons of any kind.  I would not publicly advertise that I either did or did not carry a weapon. 

I used to sell homes in the City of Detroit, but I got scared of being robbed and mugged.  So I stopped going there.

I have a good gut feeling and pass on ones that don't feel right. If we are going to be out of cell range or in cougar (bobcat) country I would not recommend trying me.

I have recently started carrying  Mace in my purse but I am afraid my dog will somehow get it. I try to stay in my comfort zone so I don't need the Mace.

A number of agents in our area have started carrying a weapon or mace or other protection.  We have not at this point, however we are investigating the different options to see where our comfort level lies.  Great question and one that each of must consider as we move into the future.
