Yes. Smart real estate professionals wear a name badge. They are always good for meeting people. Everybody wants to talk about real estate.

A name tag is a great way to start a conversation and even get a client. One evening I went directly to the local grocery store and I had forgotten to take my nametag off, I was at the deli counter ordering when the clerk asked me are you in Real Estate? I realized I was still wearing my tag....I said yes, she asked me for my business card and told me she wanted to buy a home but did not know how to start!! Long story short, I sold her a home!

I definitely wear one and have for over 30 years.  I definitely notice an increase in viable contacts when I wear it!

I'm planning on working hard to remember to wear my name badge whenever appropriate. II see it as another marketing source. it's great to hear so many positive replies.

I don't but I use to.  The last time I changed companies I did not take the time to get another one - but I am going to.  I agree it looks professional, not to mention a talking piece for everywhere you go.  Thanks for the reminder!

We have casual attire with a pocket logo.  We do have name badges when we feel they are necessary.

I purchased a really nice, professional name badge with the Realtor R on it along with my name and company name - that's it. Super clean looking. I'm going to wear it as regularly as possible and see if it makes a difference. I personally don't think they look cheesy or tacky, I appreciate when people wear a name badge - really helps me remember their names.

No I do no. I think they are tacky and cheesy.  I know who I am and don't feel the need to advertise it. Even when I go to events that provide a stick on name badge ... I don't wear them.

I think they look tacky myself.  But that is just my opinion.  It is like driving around with your car wrapped.  I want more of a low key approach

It's great to wear. I have worn mine and been doing things other than real estate. People look at them and get to see who you are.

I take it by spurts. When I go to meeting or with clients I try to remember. I do have an advantage of being well known in the area so many know me even without a badge. I do think it looks more professional and gives you some credibility. On top of that you might pick up some business from someone needing real estate services.

Yes and the badge should identify you as a real estate agent. You never know when a perfect stranger will offer you a lead.

When I first started, it was common pratice for agents to wear name badges. I mostly wear one at Open Houses, and even when showing property. I also leave by business card. I don't want sellers to have to guess if the person entering their house is a licensed agent. Plus, they are good conversation starters.
