A client asked me if it was my husband's will to allow me to drive.

Yes, I had one that had met my son when he was doing some acting several years ago and she asked me if he was gay? I was dumbfounded and told her I didn't know , did she?

I share with my clients who I am. They know me as I work by referrals.

No, not that I can recall.  Just your average and boring real estate conversations.

The boyfriend of my client made an incredibly racist statement and I was left stammering.  Our transaction was virtually over and I reailzed I had misjudged this person. 

Yes.  I simply will not engage with clients on certain topics like religion, abortion, immigration, politics.  There is nothing to be gained by having these conversations with our clients.

Yea...nature of this business as we get to know people.

I haven't ever been asked a question that has left me speechless, but I've certainly been told some information by my clients over the years that has floored me.

I've been told that my client has just found out he has an advanced cancer that there is no good treatment for, and he has a short time to live.  In the next breath, he tells me not to mention it to his wife, as she doesn't yet know and he hasn't decided when/if he will tell her.

I've had one couple tell me that they are cutting their children completely out of their wills, and will leave all of their money to charity.  In the next breath, the couple chuckles and says, "I wish I could be around to see the expression on their faces!"

Both of those comments left me speechless.

Yes but because this is polite compnay I will decline to say exactly what is was.

Can't remember, so I'm assuming the answer is no as I'd remember being speechless!

Rather than be speechless or defensive, pivot towards the speaker and demonstrate your creative genius through questions rather than answers.

They do, so what?  Depends on the question, but it is very difficult to leave me speechless;) I can talk about anything. They sometimes don't really mean anything personal, but trust your opinion on their personal matters.

People always share with me more than they should,  they probably feel that I will not judge.

No I haven't.  That would be pretty awkward.

I had a client that that tried setting me up with her daughter, that's about as personal as it has ever gotten.  I laughed about it and politely declined.

No.  I have not had that happen to me.  But not much bothers me

Yup - I had a buyer who was a Mormom invite me to one of her bible studies.
