I hear REALTORS® brag about their 80 hour work weeks but I don't think the red badge of real estate courage is to work long hours. That is a sign that you are doing something wrong. Maybe you are a control freak and can't delagate or possible have no boundaries. You can be successful and enjoy life so work hours are a choice.

Floating hours and I dont even seem to be "off", start at 7am and many times sending emails, well into the night. That being said, now that I run my own PLLC not sure I could ever go back to working for someone else.
Most days: 6:30 am till 6:30 pm. Too much more than that and you are flirting with burnout.
I start my day at 8 am and now it is after midnight and I'm still working.
Frank Rubi, MBA I start late - and sleep late! Sometimes at 3 AM (I head out for my 'night-walk' on ActiveRain!)
When I am awake I am working.
I don't start answering my phone until after 8:30 am and stop around 7 pm.
I am available 24x7.
Ten to seven.
At eight I create the list of what must be done today. The first item on the list is always what will I do TODAY to get new business.
When the last item is checked off...the day is done.
Like magic everything unexpected seems to fit nicely with the confines of the list.
Without the list the tasks expand to occupy all available time.
That is how I got away from the 5 am to midnight shift.
We must take care, be aware of the shame root that wears exhaustion as a status symbol. If you feel guilt twitches when you take time off, it is you that must take care.
Those are the basic hours I did keep, but I am not above taking a call later than taht.
Every day is different. With it staying daylight late here I'm working late. I've written 2 offers this week at 10pm.
Usually 7am to 9pm. I do now try to take a little time for myself here and there, but am always available by email which clients dont seem to mind
Frank you work longer than me. My hours vary from day to day. Sometimes 8 hours sometimes much more
It's nice to have a schedule.
