I ask another agent or two.  I work out a referral fee for anything that goes under contract and offer something additional for their time.

I have a team.

I have a sister agent whom I depend on helping. She can depend on me with or without payment. I know that I can depend on her help if I needed too. Just find two or three people who you are comfortable with to work this out with you.

I am migrating to an online training automated business model so my website will do the work for me.

We have found the best way is to have a reciprocal arrangement with a trusted agent...no one gets paid...we watch each other's business.

Vacation, what vacation?

A trusted friend and Broker who I have known for 16 years and through 2 brokerages (3 owners)!

As a broker Russ I cover for any agent I have out in my small firm (10 agents) and I have two former owner/associate brokers who work for me and they along with the other agents cover for me when I'm away.  I do always make myself available to them via phone though.

I have someone I help out, and they help me out. No pay involved. I have, in the distant past, been offered to be compensated if the deal closed. 

With smart phones it is almost not necessary. Except if a buyer can't wait. 

I much prefer the arrangement I have now. 

My office takes care of me. I work for a small independent firm. We all help each other out. 

We pick up the slack for each other when necessary. And I'm only a phone call or text message away!

That's why we have cell phones and laptops and other agents.

our team members help each other.... if a deal goes together, there are referral fees paid.... no deals, no pay....they reciprocate...
