Michele Connors - I am also looking to buy a GoPro for my car, bike, and to use for moving sports activities, however, that will be in addition to my two (2) JVC full HD 40x zoom camcorders that I already own.
I highly recommend the JVC full HD hand-held camcorder with 40 x (I think it's now in the 50X zoom range).
The JVC camcorder is the best - love the zoom feature, and the hand stabilization on it. My guess is that the Sony, or Panasonic 40-50x zooms are a similar product (look the same) and I've looked at getting a third one, but that's another story.
I LOVE this camcorder, and paid under $200 for it. The quality is very good, and I've had several TV stations (nation news, local news, along with several private movie companies that want to use my local video footage in their private productions). Each one has always remark on how high the quality of the footage is when they use it. My YouTube channel is LakeTahoeLaura and I have over 50 videos on it.
Costco has a good selection, along with HSN, or QVC. The only down-side is they are fragile, and if you drop them you will lose the hand-stabilization feature. Don't forget to buy a tripod. : )
For what it is worth, I think you'll get more use out of the hand-held camcorder to start with on you real estate videos before going to the GoPro.
If you want more info, or have questions give me a call!
