Sam Shueh Yes. I live in a town of 510 people. DSL is my ONLY choice. :(

Joni Staples the following video will help you - convert your .mov in h.264 format. ( I am no mac expert - however there are many video converters available for FREE - you can use it.)
Click on this link to learn about that (wish I could embed here.)

Most videos you make today are in a streamble format, so it shouldn't be an issue.

Joni Bailey Render it to more compressed format, you have a lot of options and the time to upload won't be so long. Check your internet connection with a speed test. You are tying up your machine longer than needed and optimizing will smooth out the video time suck!

Oh my... maybe I'll just load before I go home at night and let it do its 175 minute thing..... JEEZE!

Praful Thakkar Thanks. I will watch the video. I have a Mac and a PC so I could use either one, but I only have DSL. Our one horse town doesn't offer anything else. Actually we are lucky to have that?!

Joni Staples - and of course, your upload speed will matter, too.
Good Luck.

I had to stop by and see what the answer are. I'm not doing a whole lot with video yet, but I do some video, so I was curious.

It took 175 minutes to upload my video on to YouTube today. It was shot with my iPhone and uploaded from my PC to YouTube. ?! That's nuts! It's why I don't do many videos. It takes longer to upload them than it does to create them. Anyway.... my question remains... how do I do it? HA!
