Our Home Inspector is a communication nut! Eight years ago when I was new I remember Jamie or his wife Donna dropping of cookies or doughnuts or a bowl of candy to our office every week.  He held educational classes, hands out pens, sticky notes, coffee mugs, high lighters, backpacks and everything else you can put your name on.  He is detail oriented and an all around likeable fellow.  His business has expanded to several new inspectors and we get our inspection results within hours.

Yes we get thank you cards and small holiday goodies as thank yous. 

I have only once and it made a huge impression on me!  Great young inspector building a thriving business. 

I do not, and recommend and use the same inspector for several years. It would make an impression on me to receive some kind of thank-you note, though. I suggest a simple card with a "thank you" for choosing you, and for recommending you to their clients.

The inspection companies I use most frequently do follow up with requests for feedback on satisfaction, discount coupons for future clients, thank you notes, etc. One actually sends out an amazon.com card for $10 to their biggest agent referrers for the month.
