I would definitely attend, but only if it is somewhere I want to go...LOL...in other words, NYC would be great, as would Las Vegas.  (Especially Las Vegas).  I would not mind flying if it is in a great destination like San Diego, San Francisco,  Las Vegas...  NYC is just a train ride away for me.   Two events may be the way to go if the majority of folks are more interested in a driveable destination. 

Ditto to the other answers. If the location is close (Houston, TX) or exciting (holiday destinations) I would consider attending.

I would seriously consider it, time and scheduling permitting.  It sound like it would be a great event.

I'd like to, but I doubt I would. I squeeze out time each year to go to the RE/MAX annual meeting, but it's so hard to pull time away from work.

The distances in our country are vast, and like Debbie, a 2 hour drive, maximum.  The other thought is that this is a big expense for many.

I would love to attend an event like this...the only issue is where.  I would go if it was within 2 hrs driving distance (or so).  But, I would not fly out to this.

I'm thinking that if one did happen, it would be ideal to be on East Coast as there are many of us in the cities and outlying areas here.  Although there are a bunch on West Coast, too. 

Maybe there should be one on east coast and one on west coast.

On East Coast, ideal to get the concentrated spread of DC to Boston.

I think they should tie it in with NAR's mid year and annual meetings or with the Council of Residential Specialists or Women's Council of Realtors' major meetings.  ActiveRain did a RainCamp one year at NAR and it was a lot of fun and a no host meetup at one of the local bars (I think that might have been 3 years ago at New Orleans).

Praful Thakkar  Boston is one of my all time fave cities, so I'm definitely interested in Boston, which should work for a lot of folks in the NE.  I prefer Boston in the snow, though, so let's do it soon!  LOL

Praful, as much as it sounds like fun, we already interact, and wonder if we met in person it would be a wise choice to be away from our business.    Like others, a two hour drive would work, not if flight and hotels are involved.

I would love to participate in a BIG ActiveRain Event ... but it would depend upon where it would be held and at what time of the year.  I noticed a number of you have mentioned the east and/or west coast.  What about those of us who live in the midwest?  Just curious! Happy New Year!

I really like this idea. I would consider flying to somewhere, but maybe regional meetups would be a better idea. 

I wold only attend if it were in Hawaii or Cali. I have family in Cali and like to combime my business trips with family visits.

I think NYC or NYC area would pull in the most people (doesn't have to be exactly in NYC).  NYC is more centrally located vs. Boston.  I'd love to bring in those from DC/Maryland area as well as NJ.
