Who uses AR?
Other real estate professionals. Not home buyer or home sellers. Unless your business model is selling leads or soliciting referrals, the real influence on your business will be the tertiary resources available.
The resources mean you must have accounts at Facebook, G+, Twitter, LinkedIN, Pinterest and AliAbba......AND.....your AR account must be public meaning Rainmaker or higher.
Finally, and this is important, you need guidance from outside the real estate industry to create the environment that will attract the clients who are predisposed to doing business with you. Unlike the pablum offered by marketers to real estate agents (rea), such focus on the business you want will distinguish you from the all the smiley faces on the wave emerging from the sea of smiley faces in which most real estate agents exist making them completely indistinquishable. If you have ever considered sending out a 'Just Listed/Just Sold' postcard because you could not think of anything better to do, you know where you exist.
Reading your profile suggests you are edgy. Make it work. Cut to the chase. Stay with the four core messages (benefits, results, outcomes, solutions) and leverage AR to be your social media dashboard...or use Hootsuite.
If you can not answer how you have strategically implemented AR for your business, it will be of no benefit to you. Don't allow your participation on social media to become a time hole draining away your most valued asset. Before you spend the time, have a plan. That begins with abandoning real estate jargon and explaining what you bring to the table that is really worth a portion of the home owners equity. If your close friends listen to you and shake their head....keep working on it. If you are not crazy passionate, crazy excited, crazy knowledgeable about what YOU bring to the game, no one else will be convinced either.
Ebrace the idea that you are not everyone's real estate agent.
So, whose real estate agent are you? Tailor your core message to that individual home owner and use the tertiary resources of AR to create the 'validation' that owner will be seeking.

I went to your blog to see what interests you and I found no blogs. You must have something to share.

You can learn a lot by reading the blogs of the highly productive agents who are members of ActiveRain. They are the ones that you will want to follow.

For me, by far the best part of ActiveRain is the exchange of information. I learn a lot. (An added bonus is the occasional referral)
