Someone asked what the conversion rate was. In Northern VA about 60-70% of renters we assist turn into buyers the following year. After 34 years I am still stunned at how many agents and companies do not help people with rentals. Those people will never work with a company who decided not work with them as a renter. I close 99% of my renters in 1 day. I rarely show more than 3 properties and I charge a retainer fee. Most agents do not know how to properly deal with renters #1. Most agents do not know how to deal with renters who have pets. Hint: Pet resume I'm the #1 leasing agent in Northern VA. I on the other hand look at sales as time-consuming and between the showing of 20+ properties, then dealing with multiple offers, home inspections etc etc. I make more money than most agents who do sales. Rentals are a very good business in the right areas.
