Wanda Bond, REALTOR, CDPE, SFR, ePRO

A Tar Heel by birth and education, Wanda Bond has spent the majority of her life life living in and loving all things Virginia. Working as an Associate Realtor at Weichert Realtors, Brockwell & Associates, Wanda concentrates on servicing the needs, desires and dreams of residential Sellers and Purchasers; Corporate & Military Relocatees; and for those who "need" to sell their homes, Short Sales.

Wanda worked in broadcast journalism for more than a decade as an anchor/producer for WWBT-TV/Channel 12 in Richmond, VA. After the birth of daughter Kelly, her career path took a dramatic but related turn pubic and government affairs -- first as Director of Public Affairs for Bon Secours - St. Mary's Hospital, then as VP of Pubic Affairs at New Jersey's largest medical center -- Saint Barnabus. She returned to Virginia in order to organize and direct the United Network for Organ Transplantation's (UNOS) first Corporate Communications division where she spearheaded a combination of international media relations and national health policy issues that would change the lives of thousands of organ transplant recipients, nationwide.

In 2020, COVID-19 reared its ugly virus head, creating havoc and chaos at every turn. As did many folks, Wanda took a year-long hiatus from the real estate world to assist in COVID-19 Pandemic remediation and containment. She tirelessly worked for the Virginia Department of Health as a COVID-19 Contact Tracer. She continues to volunteer with the Virginia Medical Reserve Corp, helping with COVID-19 community testing and vaccination events.

Always focused on helping 'thy neighbor,' Wanda's guiding principles are doing the right thing and following the Golden Rule. Her many volunteer activities have included serving on the Tri-Cities Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity; delivering meals to those who need through Feed More; and volunteer positions at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Petersburg, VA.
