United Country Bold Coast Realty is owned and operated by Debbie & Bill Holmes.  Debbie manages the day to day operations while still serving her clients and customers.  A graduate of Gardiner Area High School in Gardiner, Maine, Debbie joined the work force first with the State of Maine.  Eighteen years later, after moving to pristine Downeast Maine, she and her husband owned and operated a mom and pop store.  After directing her patrons, mostly tourist, to all the real estate agencies around, she decided to get her feet wet and became a real estate agent herself in 1996.  In 2001, she opened Bold Coast Realty and just recently affiliated with United Country in June 2006.  Currently Debbie is the President of the Hancock-Washington Board of Realtors and the out-going president of the Lubec Lions Club.  Debbie continually encourages her agents to continue with their real estate education and leads the way by taking courses above and beyond the required continuing education classes.  She is currently working on her GRI designation. 

 She has taken numerous courses on and brokerd sales for 1031 tax exchange participants and has a vast knowledge of the individual town codes, shoreland zoning and DEP requirements for building and developing. Most of their clients and customers live out of state, therefore, United Country Bold Coast Realty coordinates transactions from start to finish.  Debbie has a good repore with all the local banks and finance companies.  Being in rural Maine where most folks are self employed, Debbie has gathered extensive knowledge of alternative and creative financing and stays informed of new loan products offered by the local banks.

While the company's slogan is "NO ONE KNOWS THE COUNTRY LIKE WE DO", her personal slogan is ' I DON'T JUST SELL HOUSES, I SELL A WAY OF LIFE", further expressing her passion for the area.
