Get to Know Joe Wells
I am a 55 year old rancher, born and raised in Real County, with a Bachelor of Science degree, (1977), in Horticulture and Botany from Sam Houston State Universtiy in Huntsville, TX. Before returning to my ranching roots, which go back 5 generations in this area, I worked as a landscaper (design, installation & maintenance), for 5 years in the Conroe, TX and north Houston area. Then, I worked as a private gardener for 5 years in Washington, DC and surrounding area.
In 1987, I was blessed to be able to return to the family ranch, to help my parents operate the ranch, train horses, mules and working dogs, and became the primary care giver for the last 20 years of my parents' lives. I continue to operate the family ranch to the present time.
I am also committed to preserving and perpetuating our Texas and western heritage. To this end, for the past 11 years, I have been part of the Cowboy Sunset Serenade, a group that presents our heritage through cowboy songs and cowboy poetry. We perform twice weekly during the summer season at Garner State Park, and have performed at numerous other state park parks, schools, community groups, fund raisers, cowboy gatherings and private functions all over Texas and surrounding states.
I am a member of the Texas Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors, am aquainted with the local brokers and can help you find your dream property in this most beautiful area of Texas!
Certifications
I am ready and able to assist all prospective buyers or sellers from "first timers" to "old pros". And, will gladly list and sell any property from the smallest lot to the grandest estate, ranching or hunting operation.
I have a lifetime of ranching experience, am accutely aware of my environmental responsibilites as a steward of the land, and have knowledge and expertise in the area of native plants as well as horticultural plants and practices.
I don't claim to know ALL the answers to EVERY question, but do have the resources and connections to find most of them.
