My name is Traci Nelson and I am happily married and a mother of 4 children. I live my life in the following order...First, for God. Second, for my family. Third, for real estate. I have enjoyed practicing real estate in Camden County which includes St Marys, GA Kingsland, GA , Woodbine, GA Folkston, GA and the surrounding areas of Brunswick, GA St Simons Island, GA and Jekyll Island, GA.
I moved here with my husband and children in 2002. I have visited the southeast Georgia region since I was a young child and decided to move here and make it home. We love living in this area. A place where it still has a historic district, a waterfront, family owned businesses, unique shopping and dining, ferry trips to Cumberland Island, and Fernandina Beach, FL. A small town where people still take the time to say hello to strangers and offer a helping hand when needed. The weather couldn't be better. The average high is 90 degrees in the summer and a low of 50-60 degrees in the winter (although there really isn't what most would call winter). We are conveniently located to many areas such as Jacksonville, FL, Savannah, GA, Charleston, SC, Fernandina Beach, FL, and only about 3 hour drive to Walt Disney World which my family and I love to go visit. We never run out of things to do here in this area.
I think my clients enjoy working with me because I am so down to earth. I like to add a certain "flare" to real estate and I like to make it exciting. In fact my logo is Just Like Family! I live by this logo or motto because buying and selling a home can be stressful and I want to take the stress and pressure off the buyer or seller as much as possible and let them enjoy the process. Some of the things I like to do with my clients is take them to lunch or dinner, give them the tour around town, take them to the park, and show them the areas of interest in our great community. I also like to get to know my clients, their kids, their grand kids, their likes and dislikes, and I want them to know I desire to show them I care about them and their family. I also enjoy educating first time home buyers, helping them set up a budget for real estate, I love working with the retirement age couples and communitites. One of my favorite things to do is help clients pick out colors for painting their new home, picking new furniture, or staging and decorating. I will do as much or as little as my clients ask me to do for them. I thoroughly enjoy being an active part of the process . I actually quit a high paying job at the hospital after twelve years of service to start over in a career in real estate because I love it that much! I am not a materialistic person so I do not live my life for the money and the items I can buy with money but I am a "behind the scenes" person who just enjoys helping and serving others and I do not require a lot of attention focused on me. The process of buying or selling a home should be all about you not me. The next thing you will notcie about me is I am a very laid back Realtor I love nothing better than wearing my flip flops, jeans or shorts, and a t-shirt. I want people to feel comfortable around me so I am not in a high power suit trying to make myself appear bigger and better than someone else. I am sure that there are plenty of people that might disagree and think I should be in a dress with high heeled shoes or pant suit but I think others are more comfortable when I am comfortable and they can relate to me and tehy are willing to open and tell me about what they are looking for so we truly go in search of the dream home they had in mind. Along that same line of thinking it is even more important that we go house hunting in a price range that is comfortable and affordable to my client. I don't believe in keeping up with the "Jones". My family and I live in a regular middle class home and I am a "mini va mom". By caring about you and your family first I strive to do my best to help you achieve your goals and expectations when investing in one of the biggest purchases you will ever make. After you are prequalified we actually sit down and discuss the home buying process and what you can expect as the buyer before we ever hit the road to go look at the first house. We can discuss budgets, home inspections, appraisals, termite letters, home warranties, closing attorney, and so much more. All of this can seem intimidating if you don't have the training and expertise but rest assured I am a trained and licensed Realtor to handle all of your real estate needs.
