Purchasing a home of any price is often confusing and intimidating to most that dare to take the leap into home ownership. Even experienced home buyers may still find the process daunting. Why? Because it is. Buying a home has many dynamics and complexities that the average person has very limited or no knowledge. Think of just some of the aspects that the Buyers have to be involved with:Obtaining financing Choosing an Escrow Company Working with an Architect Interviewing and reviewing the Builders bids which, by the way, are all in different formats Reviewing the final contract, estimate and specifications of your dream home before committing to the Builder Working with the Interior Decorator on the interior detailing of you home Selecting materials, colors, appliances and choosing options Monitoring the quality of the project as the job progresses Signing off on construction draws Handling the final settlement and closing Securing insurance for your new home Now consider the fact that as the home increases in size and expense, so does the complexities of the details. All of this taxing responsibility and you still have to figure out a way to make it into work everyday to finance your Dream Home. What to do? You do what all of the "Success Guru's" advise you to do...build a network of knowledgeable experts! But you say, experts cost money and to that I reply - real experts will always make or save you more then their cost. For example, your Builder may have you convinced that using the carpenter with the cheapest bid is the right thing to do when the carpenter that was $1,000 more will actually save you that and then some by building your home right the first time, using the materials efficiently, saving time on your schedule and building a better end product that won't cost money in rework down the road.
