I read Julie Nelson's E-Book last week and took away a few really awesome AHA's, one of which was 'Follow Up Monday.' I actually blocked off my calendar this morning and sat at my desk from 9am-11am and wrote down every person I could think of that I've talked to recently about real estate. I had a list of 17 people when I was done. I went down that list and called/emailed/texted each person. Want to know my results? 1) I have a Listing Appointment tomorrow night at 6pm w a couple who wants to sell their home and then buy a 'Move Up' home. (This represents approximately $750k in potential transactions. Whoop!) 2) I just emailed a Buyer Rep Agreement to a gentleman who I have been talking to for MONTHS about leaving the apartment renting scene and buying his first home! He has FINALLY decided he is done w apartment living and his lease is up at the end of June and he wants to buy a house! (This represents approximately $200k in a potential transaction. Whoop!) 3) I also planted at least a dozen seeds w folks who will think of me when they are ready to buy or sell real estate. That's right, folks. Follow-Up Monday just helped me get one step closer to {at least} $28k in commissions. #FollowUpMonday #BOOM\ |

Julie’s perspective and delivery is gold for students. And speed of action will make a huge difference in a new agent's career. Learn by doing (not by sitting in class). |

Julie, it's true that the agents are incredible but a great deal of credit goes to you, my friend. And the agents have made that clear to me when we've talked. The SWMC is blessed to have you! |

This time last year I was just getting ready to join the KW family. I'd been a licensed agent for less than a week. I was terrified and overwhelmed and excited. I thought I was going to kick off my year by singing with Bobby McFerrin, but a hurricane on the East Coast got in the way of that plan. I guess it was time to get to work! One year later and I'm still terrified and overwhelmed and excited....in the best ways possible. Excited by my current success -- two closings in a week, several active buyers, future business already on the books, and 3 listings under contract including my own house! Terrified by the possibilities for growth -- after being in weeds for the past two months, I know that some of my crucial skills & systems are lacking. My future success will require me to take a leap of faith to build appropriate support and management systems. And most importantly, overwhelmed by the support of my KW family -- for every hurdle I've encountered in the past year, someone has been there to help me sort it out and take the next step. Starting with the amazing mind-reading proactive Julie Nelson, to my fantastic rookie cohort, the ever-patient and kind Linda Ramsey, our fantastic support staff, and the incredible mentors I've connected with along the way (Tory Ketter, Liz Grimes, everyone in my BOLD class last year...the list could go on and on.) What an incredible journey! And if all of that awesomeness weren't enough, fifteen minutes ago I renewed my TREC salesperson license, and in 6 hours I'll finally be singing with Mr. Bobby McFerrin. Don't Worry, Be Happy....heck yes! From the bottom of my heart, thank you for inviting me to be a part of Keller Williams and the SWMC. It's an amazing place created and sustained by amazing, generous people. |

I joined Keller Williams right before Julie became the new agent productivity coach, and I have to say, I do not think I could have joined KW at a better time. My first year in real estate was not easy, and I had a transaction or two that I would not wish upon anyone else. I knew, though, that I could always count on Julie to either guide me through the correct course of action or just let me cry in her office - typically it was both. I have learned so much about the relational and business sides of real estate from Julie. She was a fantastic agent, and I dare to say she is an even better coach. I have no doubt that she is a driving force behind why so many of the new agents succeed at the SWMC. I personally cannot thank her enough for helping me grow, succeed and constantly move forward in my business. |

"Very easy-going and extremely savvy in her field, Julie was an absolute joy to work with. She always seemed one step ahead in the process, which was an enormous help for us as first time buyers. Not only did we have a wonderful ally in the most important decision we've ever made, but we also gained a friend. She'll be the first call we make when we decide to buy again." |
