I am a believer in education, and staying up-to-date on information related to my career. In November, I will take the last third of my GRI (Graduate, Real Estate Institute) classes to earn the GRI designation. P.S. As of November, 2007, I completed my GRI training and can now claim the GRI designation - YEAH! My next goal is to earn the CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) designation. Only 5% of Realtors are CRS designees, so I believe the education and experience required will set me apart and give me the skills to give the very best representation to my clients.
I have had a great deal of success with listings that other agents have had difficulty selling. I listed a high end home in my area within the last year that had some unique amenities. Because of the distinctiveness of the property, my seller wanted to list for a price above any other sold in the subdivision. Although no one else wanted to take a chance with it, I listed it and we sold it for $3,000 more than the seller expected. In the last six months, I was also blessed to be able to sell two listings in brand-new subdivisions while new models were still available. All of these listings sold within 90-days. One actually sold within 25 days.
I have been told that I am an investors best friend because of my treasure-hunting abilities, and my patience in finding the right property. Currently, I am working with five separate investors, and I have sold them over ten houses in the last two years. I do enjoy locating that "diamond in the rough" and negotiating a price that will allow my clients to make money.
