When you're planning on buying or sellling a home, having a qualified Realtor to represent you in the transaction is critical.  Finding the right Realtor can sometimes can be difficult.  Like any profession, there are good and bad agents working in real estate.  So how do you find someone who is right for you? 

In my opinion, finding a Realtor that works in your area is the place to start.  I focus my efforts in Santa Cruz and Santa Clara Counties.  Although I can work anywhere in California, I choose to focus my attention on the areas that are near where I live and work.  Though there are agents that will work anywhere they can obtain a client, for me I like to give a high level of personal attention. In order to stay close to my clients, I like to stay in the areas I call home.

Staying within my chosen geographic area gives me the ability to stay on top of what's happening in my community.  It affords me the opportunity to know different neighborhoods and how the market is preforming.  Working in Santa Cruz County and Silicon Valley is interesting in that there are areas that are growing in value and others that definetly are not.  Knowing how to navigate my clients through these areas is an important part of the service I provide. 

Lastly I think that being comfortable with your Realtor is very important.  No matter what side of the transaction you're on, you will be spending a lot of time interacting with your agent.  You should feel confident that your Realtor is always working for your best interest. Without this work ethic, nothing else really matters.  I pride myself in treating my clients like family; always advocatng for you and your needs.  When I work for you, I am your advocate in every sense of the word.  I listen to your needs and then do my best to fill those.  I negotiate on your behalf so you never need to interact face to face with the buyer or seller on the other side of the transaction.
