I am the proud mom of 3 simply wonderful children who are the greatest gift in my life. My identical twin sons have completed high school and my daughter is in the nursing program at Northwest Florida and honored with several scholarships. We are a close knit family which also includes my precious grandson!

 

I have been a licensed Real Estate Broker for over 10 years. I began my career in Louisiana and later moved to Destin, FL. Currently I am a Sales Manager for Coldwell Banker United, Realtors - the #1 real estate company along the gulf coast. Under my direction of almost a year - and through a plan in place when I started and complete support of my CEO/Broker - I, and my team, have doubled sales and listings taken in the Niceville/Bluewater Bay Office. At the end of 2013, I was moved to our Destin and 30a offices to lead these incredible agents.

I have been named Destin's Realtor of the Year TWICE, a National Speaker, a former Board of Directors member for our local association, served 4 years as a State Board of Directors member, hold an International Real Estate Specialist Designation and am a 2013 Women’s Council of Realtors State District Vice President and awarded locally the Entrepreneur of the Year and on the state level as District Vice President of the Year!

There's a New Firm in Town!

Best Friends, Realtors of the Year, and Business Partners – Robbie Fenn and Lisa Norton – have done, and do, so much together and opening their own Real Estate Firm began a new journey for them.  

When asked what contributes to their drive both answered that putting their customers needs first is their biggest proponent.  Their focus is completely on the customer from even naming their firm, Your Paradise Group – which translates to, It’s All About You!

Your Paradise Group is a boutique real estate firm.  It is a combination of all women who are focused, full-time Realtors and all have additional specialty training ranging from International Clientele to Resort  Real Estate.  Robbie and Lisa are the Broker Owners of Your Paradise Group.

Robbie and Lisa go even further.  Robbie has been named Destin Realtor of the Year (2 years) and Lisa named Ft Walton Beach Realtor Year.  They are both immediate past Presidents of the Emerald Coast Chapter Women’s Council of Realtors where Lisa was named Realtor Member of the Year and Robbie named Entrepreneur of the Year.  Robbie recently became a National Speaker when she spoke on International Real Estate in Washington DC at the National Women’s Council of Realtors Conference.  The Women’s Council of Realtors is the 12th largest Women’s professional organization in the nation. They are both actively involved also in their local Realtor Association currently serving elected terms on the Board of the Directors. 

Both say that being involved in their industry increases the opportunity for selling their customers property.  People do business with people who they like and know – and it’s no exception in real estate.  Robbie and Lisa have mentored many agents throughout their career and from their honors are valued in their industry.  This in turn directly affects their business in a very positive manner.

Work ethic is where they mirror, but knowledge is where they differ and what a great combination for their buyers and sellers.  Robbie brought a strong Resort, Condominium, Marketing & Investment portfolio, while Lisa’s sturdy ability is in Military buyers, Subdivision Development & Marketing.  Both have aggressive backgrounds in listing properties to put a Sold sign in the yard!  The combination of their knowledge, education, extreme respect for the other, and business principles has made this one of the top teams on the Emerald Coast.

Their latest adventure has been the formation of their own weekly television show on 30A TV, channel 8.  “Life at the Beach” showcases the many outstanding properties Your Paradise Group has been asked to market as well as a look at the Emerald Coast and what it has to offer. 

As for the future, their goal is to continue the service of making their customers the ultimate focus,  staying politically connected with Tallahassee and DC to continue fighting for property rights, and remaining on the cutting edge of innovation for those they represent.

 

 

Rare professional named Destin Realtor of the Year

DESTIN - A passion for helping others and her community helped RE/MAX Paradise Properties Realtor Robbie Fenn win the Emerald Coast Association of Realtors award for 2007 Destin Realtor of the Year.

In January, ECAR held their annual awards banquet at the Ramada Plaza Empire Room on Okaloosa Island, and Fenn said she was surprised to hear her name called after being nominated for the award by RE/MAX Paradise Properties owner and broker Debbie Neale.

"To hear my name announced was a feeling of shock because everyone nominated for Destin's Realtor of the year was truly deserving. I am honored to not only have been given this award but to know that it came from my industry peers," she said.

Fenn said she's proud to represent an organization like ECAR, one aimed at helping area Realtors succeed. "I am dedicated to helping as many Realtors as possible achieve their dream of success through education and networking, and I am steadfast in my desire to represent the Emerald Coast Association of Realtors on a state level to continually bring awareness to our area, which is a benefit to all Realtors," she said.

Neale said Fenn has a reputation around the community that made her nomination for the award a virtual no-brainer.  "She is the consummate real estate practitioner. Her reputation for professionalism is well known within our community. It is rare that we see an accomplished Realtor who has such a diversity of talents. Robbie Fenn is one of those rare professionals," Neale said.

In addition to selling homes in Destin, Fenn has remained active in the community.  Fenn teaches Sunday School at St. Andrew's By-the-Sea Episcopal Church, has served as a mentor at Destin Elementary School and volunteers her time at both Destin Elementary and Destin Middle Schools.

Going into 2008, Destin's top Realtor of 2007, said things are already starting to look up for Destin's slumping real estate market.  " I am seeing the signs of slow recovery. Buyers have returned to our market, especially in the under $300,000 market segment, and we expect this to continue with 2008 showing the same recovery in the higher dollar market segments," Fenn said.

 

 

 

BUILD IT AND THEY WILL COME...  

This seems to be the resonant theme in the Florida Panhandle as the International Airport in Panama City comes closer to a reality. Who will come? International Buyers and Baby Boomers. One local Realtor, Robbie Fenn, is educating herself in preparation for a new wave of buyers to hit the Emerald Coast by working to earn the prestigious designation of Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS). This designation is currently held by only approximately 700 Realtors in the United States.  

"There is a mixture of Buyers, a global purchasing power, of US Citizens buying 2nd homes in other countries as well as International Buyers coming to the United States from areas such as Europe, Central America, and Asia for their investment properties and 2nd homes. I am gaining the knowledge and hands on experience needed to not only assist foreign buyers locally, but to also assist US citizens purchasing in other countries," Fenn says.  

According to NAR studies, in Florida, roughly 15 percent of all sales in 2005 went to international buyers. "These buyers tend to favor areas that are accessible by International Airports, and with this opportunity transpiring soon locally, we will have to begin to think globally. The international investor is savvy and prefers to deal with a real estate agent experienced and trained in international transactions," Fenn stated.  

The Baby Boomer, according to NAR commissioned studies, have a higher rate of home ownership than the national average, and one out of four baby boomers own more than one property. With 80,000 Americans already owning property in Costa Rica, Robbie just returned from its Pacific Coast where she accompanied local buyers and secured an offer for a mountain top, ocean view lot. "I was able to meet with several brokerage companies, including RE/MAX, and develop the needed relationships to benefit my clients purchasing abroad. Traveling to these countries, meeting the local Realtors, and securing a working relationship is vital to a successful international purchase, and a great referral network for the Florida Panhandle."  

Not only does the CIPS designation offer a trained agent for the Buyer, but it opens the door for local Sellers as well. "With the realization of being in a buyer's market, I felt that CIPS was an opportunity for Sellers to gain greater exposure to their properties," Fenn said. Robbie Fenn currently has $25,000,000 in listings and has just given her clients greater exposure through WorldProperties.com, a popular site for international purchasers. She also is converting her personal website to multi-lingual for viewers who do not speak English. "My job is to pro-actively seek ways to bring buyers to the Emerald Coast for my clients," Fenn stated.
