Paul Musso

Visionary Real Estate Leader

Paul Musso, of Realty Connect USA is a true visionary leader in the real estate world.  His  guidance has led many disenchanted and embittered realtors to push forward and achieve a level of success they never imagined.  His all or nothing style drove him to the top 5 of 1500 agents in the Coldwell Banker Long Island Metro area at the age of 34.  Awards such as the International Presidents Elite have proven that his style is working for him.

Paul was born in Brooklyn NY and moved to Long Island with his family when he was fifteen.  At the age of eighteen, Paul joined the army and was trained in electrical engineering. He served his country proudly for 6 years. This training gave him the knowledge and confidence to form his own construction company.  PAM construction focused on  buying, renovating, and re-selling residential properties.  His construction gave him an education and also the  fire to pursue a career in real estate.  He acquired his real estate license and traded his  work boots for loafers.

With his best year to date at 88 transactions and over $38,000,000 in sales, he quickly became a force to be reckoned with in the residential arena.  Whether representing a buyer or a seller, he gets the best deals for his clients.  His passion, however, has always been working with developers and new construction.  "Seeing a project from start to finish is a rush." says Paul.

This passion led him down the "commercial" path, finding land for developers.  One of his biggest deals to date was the $7,00,000 sale of land previously owned by the Grucci Org., Long Islands first family of fireworks.  The thirty acre site was used for manufacturing, testing, and storing fireworks.  "You can really blow things up there!"  The new owner, who was looking for a site with L-2 approvals, was very happy with the purchase and has been a loyal client of Paul's for over 10 years.

Another project that he is very proud of was the sale of the  famous 1916 Vitagraph Building in Bay Shore, one of the first movie studios in the United States.  According to local historian, twenty-six silent movies were produced and distributed all over the word.   The building was purchased n 2004 and underwent millions of dollars of restoration to convert it into loft apartments.  Paul sold the building within one week of listing it, for an astounding +/-$4,000,000.  "Size doesn't always matter though."  Paul says with a smile as he  reminds us of the 5,000+/-sq. ft. building in Copaigue that he sold for $775,000. Everybody needs something, whether it's a multimillion dollar apartment building or just a little retail space;  we all have to go somewhere.

One of Paul's biggest concerns about Long Island is the lack of affordable housing   "I see people struggling everyday just to stay above water".  He feels that people are leaving Long Island at a quicker pace than ever before.  The idea of moving off of Long Island is not a pleasant one for Paul.  "The politicians talk about keeping the youth here, but I'm not seeing much happening."  It would take a lot for Paul to move but everyone is not like Paul.  "It is a very fast paced life around here".  Paul  gets up at 4am everyday to get to the gym and then be in his office by 8.

His enthusiasm for the business was noticed by Darryl Delfino of Darryl Davis Seminars.  Paul has helped coach hundreds of agents and brokers across the country grow their business.    "When you start in this business, there is no learning curve.  You pretty much get thrown to the wolves and have to figure out on your own how to get on top of the pile."  Paul wants to teach people what he has learned and feels that the more he educates others, the more he will grow.

When asked what he thinks are the keys to his success, Paul said "My team and surrounding myself with positive people."  Most of the agents on the team were brand new in the real estate business. With a little patience and guidance Paul now has a team of realtors, both residential and commercial who have cultivated his client base.  "Each member of my team brings something new to the table." says Paul, ensuring a perfect personality fit for all of his clients. If a client needs constant attention or needs an agent who is a little less aggressive, Paul has that person waiting to step in.  "People call me aggressive but I think of it as being focused.  You have to set your sights on what your clients want and make it happen".

It's all a balance, including his office staff.  "I would be lost without my assistants." says Paul as he checks his schedule for his next meeting.  His assistants handle everything from answering simple questions about his listings, to dealing with attorneys and seeing his clients get to the closing   table.  "They help me do what I do best.  Meet with people and close the deal."

What's next for Paul?  Only he knows but whatever it is, it will be a fantastic ride.
