My name is Cindy Barnes, a Prudential Fox & Roach agent licensed in DE, PA and soon MD. I hold two college degrees, and worked for more than 26 years as a professional in the business industry before becoming a real estate agent in 2005. My interest in real estate was peaked when I began looking for my new home in Delaware.
I love Delaware as it has so much to offer. Beautiful homes, tax-free shopping, rich history, a friendly community and so close to Pennsylvania and Maryland. Since I was working in Delaware and commuting back and forth across states, I decided it was time to make the move here.
On one visit looking for homes, I asked my real estate agent how he got into the field. He was very helpful in giving me information about the requirements and I decided to pursue this avenue, and got my first real estate license in Delaware.
Pennsylvania, however, is my first love, home, and where I was raised. My family and friends are still there and I am very active in the real estate market in this state as well!
Since becoming a Realtor, I've been active mostly in residential sales. I enjoy working with buyers and sellers and being involved in the home buying process from start to finish. It is especially rewarding to help a potential buyer because many people are fearful of the whole process---from the magnitude of getting approved for financing, finding the dream home, all the critical steps in between and finally the closing. I understand the stress and uncertainty of it all, because I was recently in the buyer's shoes! One of my greatest real estate assets is the ability to walk into a home and assess what would make it sell and what the homeowner should do, or should have done to appeal to a buyer. This can be truly helpful when representing either side to get the "right" price. I truly enjoy being a real estate agent. Presently, I work out of two offices to better service my clients and to be able to utilize the resources available--not only in the office, but in the community as well. I promise to give you my best effort to make your own real estate experience as comfortable, informed and as stress-free as possible.
