After three years as an operations manager in corporate America, I decided I wanted more control, so I started a career in real estate. Admittedly, I probably didn't pick the best time to start--especially in our local market! However, it's actually been a blessing in disguise because as rapidly as the market has fluctutated, more experienced agaents have been forced to learn right along with me. 

I may not be the most knowledgeable agent right now, but

I do know more than many who've been in the business 5 or 10 years

and I have more time & energy to committ to learning than older agents

Like many young agents, I am able to spend more time with buyers and be more accessable because I do not have the family obligations of my older counterparts. At the same time, I am able to offer a level of expertise not found in agents my age because of my background. I grew up around real estate. My parents have 40+ years of experience working with buyers and sellers and like all of those on Active Rain, are keeping up with the new standards of a changing industry.
