Hello,

My name is Michael Ochoa and I am YOUR CLEAR ADVANTAGE!

Why do I say that?  Simple:  Because I know there is more to buying and selling real estate than just putting a sign up, posting it in the local MLS and waiting for the calls to come in.  I also know what makes sense and what doesn't.  To sellers, having 100 people come through your home for an open house that are not the least likely interested in purchasing your home is a wasted effort on your agents part and you loose valuable time as well.  I look for methods that will get the interested buyers to "pop" their heads up and metaphorically say," hey, I am interested in learning more about this home, or about this area, can someone please call me!"  For buyers, I look for opportunities in any given area.  If you already know what you want and what area you want it in, GREAT!  I can help you to maneuver through the process of obtaining your desired outcome with you.  If you are unsure of what you want, or the area you want it in, I have a plethora of resources at my disposal to help you in making that decision.  Then, once made, I can help you to obtain that desired outcome.

 

I believe the most fundamental skill anyone in business can have is the art or ability to listen and then to articulate.  To minimize the paradigms is a real skill.  See, if you are telling someone your wants, needs, and desires, and they are hearing your words through a set of filters, they are likely to help you to get what "they" want you to have, not necessarily what you want to have.  It is a basic trait, I think, of human nature to hear the things we want to hear.  And in this market, most of what Real Estate agents want to hear is "sold", or "transaction is now closed".  I also know most agents will say the same thing, "we listen".  Let me offer you this:  I spent over 20 years of my career working for Fortune 500 and Fortune 50 companies.  I started at the bottom (sweeping floors and pulling orders) and worked my way up into strategic, key management positions where I was responsible for multiple departments; 24 hour a day, seven day a week operations and a team of over 400 associates to make it all work.  The only way this was/is possible, and be as successful as it was, is to make sure you LISTEN and then ARTICULATE.  Outside of Financial analysis, budgeting, strategic planning and capital improvements, I was a COACH!  Yes, I studied the art of Teams and Team Building for many, many years and accomplished the Self Directed Team.  You can only do that through listening and constantly communicating with others.  And I will tell you this; those skills are never forgotten.

 

So, working with people, negotiating outcomes, planning and strategizing for the future, understanding YOU, the customer, and knowing how to navigate through my chosen profession of Real Estate, it is easy for me to tell you that:  "I Am Your Clear Advantage".   I am not afraid of the challenge of this market, and neither should you be.  There is fantastic opportunity here for both the buyer and the seller.  It is all in the perspective.  There are investment brokers who are saying this market will create more millionaires than any other real estate market has in the last 20+ years.  Why, because prices are more reasonable now.  The home seller, who had their eye on a move up property, will now be able to purchase that property for less money than they would have been able to 2 years ago.  The home buyers that did not want to spend, or could not spend the kind of money for the home that was offered at peak prices 2 years ago, are now in a better position to be able to do so.

Certifications

Being in the Real Estate Business is more about working with people than it is about selling high end homes, or specializing in foreclosures.  Oh, don't get me wrong, Specializing is a good thing, but like most people in business, you will specialize in one area as long as that area is lucrative.  Once it is no longer lucrative, most will not stay in that one area of expertise as they will move on the try to figure out which "next" area will be lucrative.  Hey, that's just called earning a living.  As an example, several years ago the term HR Generalist came into our vocabulary.  Why, because it made more sense to have key people in Human Resources that were Generalists (skills and knowledge levels adequate to reach the desired outcomes), rather than specialists who once had titles like, "compensation specialists, benefits specialists, or even employment specialists).
