I separate myself from other loan officers by offering my clients a very simple and honest approach- I answer my phone when they call, I provide all the loan details up front, and I do not waste any of their time. Conversely, I require my borrowers to provide me all of their information up front and with full disclosure. This eliminates the problems that may arise down the road with a file.
95% of my business is Purchase Mortgages and the majority of those are First Time Home Buyers. I educate my buyers about closing costs, pro-rated taxes, and all of the other things that I notice other loan officers conveniently leave out.
Our company is a locally owned and operated business. We are located in the Gateway Centre Plaza on Hill Rd just east of US-23. We have a small group of very dedicated loan originations and that way we have better communication and don't overcomplicate things that don't need to be. It also keeps us moving as a well oiled machine because every member of our team takes what they do very serious. We like it that way, and it provides our clients and our Realtors with the best service possible.
This was a quick spot I did to run during Firebirds games leading up to my sponsorship of the 2016 Firebirds Backpack Auction Night. We Auctioned Backpacks to raise funds and awareness for the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan.
First Time Home Buyers are my specialty. I like to have an honest conversation with them about what they can and can not afford in the home they are looking for. My lending expertise is in USDA Rural Development Guaranteed Financing.
I am a bit neurotic when it comes to knowing guidelines and keeping up on the latest- to the point where I have closed several RD loans that were previously denied by other loan officers. I feel this is a reflection of the picture a loan officer paints for the Underwriter to see- that first impression of an application. I take the time to do all of the leg work up front with my borrowers so the picture we show is the best it possibly can be. Realtors appreciate this because once I have put my approval stamp on something, there is no confusion on whether it will close or not.
