A well-educated broker is just as important as a well-educated client! To better serve my clients, I can act as an Accredited Buyer Representative or Seller Agent. I typically work with customers via e-mail and have my e-PRO certification. Our market is a popular second-home area and my Resort and Second-property Specialist designation has given me resources to help those buyers.
Water knowledge is extremely important in the western states and in 2007 I helped develop a water class for the Colorado Association of Realtors that is now part of the GRI series and I teach that around the state. Subsequently I assisted with the GRI Environmental course.
My former careers include college teaching, radio and tv weathercasting. I love the water, the mountains and weather and this high-mountain valley has it all. While there is plenty to do on the river, I prefer climbing the 13,000 and 14,000 foot peaks, snowshoeing in the winter and working on the new sections of the Continental Divide Trail. Life here is a great outdoor adventure and introducing my customers and clients to it is a joy!
The popularity of year-around outdoor activities bring families, looking for a change of lifestyle, to our area. I so much enjoy assisting customers find their dream property in the Rockies. My expertise is in finding the right second home, retirement "Colorado Mountain Home", or extended family resort. I often work by e-mail, hike remote ranch properties to find boundaries and drive "exciting" mountain roads to show wonderful mountain meadows, but service to my clients is the most important thing I do. Sharing my knowledge of the mountains and trails with my clients is a bonus.
Sillars, past Chaffee County Realtor of the Year, puts client-care first. He specializes in second home and retirement properties in this popular high-mountain valley in the Rocky Mountains.
