My name is Lou Lile, I am the owner and managing broker of a real estate company named PuebCo Properties. Prior to becoming a Realtor I taught science for 28 years in Pueblo, Colorado. Since my passion was ecology it only seemed natural to start a company named in the 1970s whereby I designed and installed solar heating systems in my spare time.
I retired from teaching about 5 years ago and met a like minded builder while working with Century 21. I introduced him to a young couple wanting a house built. From the planning stage to the day my clients walked into their new home it was a positive experience for all of us. David built a number of homes for my clients. My being the son of a builder and having personally constructed two of my own houses from the ground up, I did not take his professionalism for granted.
Davids building experience and his own knowledge about solar energy (via a Civil Engineering Degree) together with my life experiences spawned discussions about passive solar housing. Subsequently, as energy costs began to rise even higher and become more unpredictable, we agreed that it would be a good time to convert our talk into action. We initiated GemStar Passive Solar Homes and PuebCo Properties) is the exclusive marketing agency.
Together, our goal is not only to educate others about the advantages of passive solar housing but to provide a service whereby our clients can actually benefit from our combined expertise.
