About our Team

The Schemm Group was started in 1998 by John and Barbara Schemm because their business had outgrown their ability to process it all. They hired a full time Administrative Assistant in 1999 and their business flourished and increased by 50%. The Team became the top selling group in the Roach Wheeler Exton office that year and remained in the number one position until they moved to another broker in January 2006. During this time period the team was associate of the month a record 29 times. In 2001 they added a Buyer’s agent and sales doubled to 55 transactions and $11,784,000 in gross volume. In 2003 the team added another agent and another Administrative person and now enjoyed the benefits of servicing their clientele with 4 full time agents and 2 full time Administrators. Volume jumped to $21,347,582. on 98 transactions and the team was now in the top 4% of all realtors in the U. S. in sales. As the team continued to grow they added agents until in 2005 the team was operating with 6 full time agents and 2 full time Administrators and handled a volume of $37,500,000. on 116 transactions and were now in the top 2% of all realtors in the U. S. in sales. The Team decided to move to Keller Williams in January 2006. John moved up to C.E.O. of the Keller Williams Exton Market Center in May of 2006 and held that position for 15 months when he resigned to begin the challenge of opening his own Keller Williams Franchise in Thorndale, Pa. Mean while the team was operating with 6 to 8 agents and was managed by Maher Tarazi. Sales dipped in a very difficult market but the team was still number one in the office and produced over $20,000,000. in volume on 98 transactions. The Keller Williams Midway Market Center opened in October 2008 with John as the Operating Principal and the Schemm Group now had 4 agents with 3 agents deciding not to move with the team from Exton to Thorndale. In January of 2010 the team again started its climb to prominence in the market and hired another full time assistant in March hired another Buyer’s Agent & in May hired another Buyer's Agent and is moving forward with 6 members and providing the experience, expertise and service that their customers and clientele have come to expect.
