This roof system (older metal) was fully energized due to the older knob n tube wiring. We tested various areas then shut power off the home and it was no longer energized. Interesting find!
I am a lifelong resident of Pittston, Maine where I reside with my wife Kathleen and son/associate inspector Jeremy. We have a daughter Krysty, granddaughters Kallie and Halee and most recently Grandson Jacob who live close by! I have over 11 years experience performing Maine home inspections with certificates in Property Inspection and Business Management from NPI, in Omaha, Nebraska, and Certified Residential Inspector with the InterNational Association of Certified Home Inspectors. I was in the design/construction industry for 15 years, prior to becoming a home inspector. I hold degrees in Architectural Engineering and Marine Design. I don't cut corners on maintaining my knowledge of property inspection. My membership in NACHI requires that I maintain 20 hours of quality continuing education, directly related to Home Inspection.
