In Maine, if a home is for sale, and if that home is teated for radon, then the test must be done by a Maine registered radon tester. Second Mile Radon Testing is Maine registered ( Reg. # ME24000C, ME24001P ) Second Mile Radon Testing also certified through National Environmental Health Association, National Radon Proficiency Program for the use of passive measurement devices to be analyzed by NEHA certified analytical laboratories.

My name is Janet Campbell; I am the owner of Second Mile Radon Testing. I go beyond industry standards to provide my clients withthe type of reliable, unbiased radon testing that I, myself, would want if I were buying or selling my home. I am not connected with any radon mitigation business. I use diffusion barrier charcoal canisters which are less affected by moisture than the more commen open face canisters. I send these to be analyzed by AcuStar Labs in Medway, Massachusetts. To assure precision I do 100% duplicate tests .... whether required or not.
After receiving the test results from the lab, I prefer to meet personally with my clients to discuss the results, give recommendations and to answer any questions that may arise. If a personal meeting is inconvenient, I can either mail or email the test results. I am available on weekdays as well as weekends and evenings. Call any time and leave a message.
Please remember that "closed house conditions" are required for the 12 hours preceeding the test, and throughout the duration of the test.
