I have worked in residential real estate sales full time since July 2001. Always seeking to stay challenged, in 2004 I launched my own independent, non-franchise brokerage firm STAR REALTY in Hopkinton, MA. Here's why I love my job:
I'm good at it. Always easy to like something at which you excel. Gratification. People truly appreciate the expert advice and counsel I give. Many have expressed they feel extremely well-cared for as a whole person. Variety! Every day is different, every client is unique, every transaction represents a new challenge. I'm "the boss". I own the company and I can choose to run it as I see fit. The leverage this gives me over quality control is priceless. Commute is fantastic. Eight minutes door to door and the vast majority of my transactions take place in Hopkinton as well.All these factors contribute to the great quality of life I now enjoy with my three kids and their father.
Prior to real estate sales, I lived and worked in France (1990-1996) where I launched a small business, KVB Services, training corporate clients in the ways of American business communication, in English of course. Also, just for kicks in the Spring and early Summer, I worked as a Tour Director for EF Education Tours.
Little known fact about me: I got my private pilot's license in 1990 at the Santa Barbara airport.
