I am commited to offering buyers and sellers services which help them to buy or sell their homes in as painless and easy a way as possible.  I particularly stress the importance of communication and education throughout the process.  With a background in education, this is a natural way for me to operate.  I am certified to work as a buyer specialist and with senior citizens to help meet their needs.  I am working on disignations in other fields as well and will continue my own education as I continue in this field. I especially enjoy working with first time home buyers and buyers of all types.  This helps me to be a great sellers agent as well because I can see the seller's home through the eyes of a buyer.  I am a seller's agent who offers staging ideas and incentive ideas and will market the home aggressively.

I present free seminars to new home buyers on a monthly basis in the Sun Prairie, DeForest and East Madison areas which focus on the enitre process of buying a home from financing to finding a home, to negotiating and introducing them to the laws and forms involved. I am also involved in seminars presented by The Home Buyers Roundtable throughout the year which strives to educate new home owners.  I am the secretary of this fine organization.  

I am a founding member of "New Chapters Retirement Living Solutions" which specializes in aiding senior citizens in housing options, retirement resources, independent living, second homes and selling homes.  We are commited to helping Senior Citizens navigate through all of the paperwork involved in the retirement process. 

I also have the MilRES designation which means that I have credentials to work with military and veteran buyers and sellers in a very knowledgeable way.

My area of focus is Dane County, especially Sun Prairie, DeForest, Waunakee, Cottage Grove and East Madison.  I have listed homes all over the Madison area and shown and sold homes as far away as Mt. Horeb and Black Earth.

As mentioned above, my expertise is in real estate education, buyers, sellers and senior citizens, but I work with people from all walks of life and in every stage in their life.  I am a "people person" who enjoys the entire process of real estate transactions and stress the importance of honest and clear communication of needs and opportunities.

We first met Deb when she gave a presentation at the First Time Home Buyers workshop in Dane County. We liked her so much we chose her to be our Buyers Agent. She did not disappoint. Deb was on top of everything and going above the call from the get go, surprisingly talking time out of her vacation to email us listings. Her advise regarding properties was excellent, and even though we'd only been looking at houses for a day, when we found the property we were looking for she assured us that going after it quickly was the right decision. As a result, we had an accepted offer a day later. Buying a home for the first time is confusing and stressful. However, Deb always made us feel like there was someone in our corner looking out for us. She is an expert at dealing with first time buyers, including newbies through the process and dealing with her client's jitters. She didn't even bat an eyelash when taking our panicked phone calls after business hours. She was also behind us through the inevitable hiccups, making sure that the other parties involved in the purchase, including our own lender, were doing their jobs correctly and on time. Deb is extraordinarily tenacious, but has a sweetheart's demeanor and endless patience. She's excellent at her job, knows her market, and knows the agents, lenders, and inspectors operating in the area. If you're looking to buy, she's absolutely the right person for the job.

Deb is an excellent person to work with. She was very patient helping my daughter look for her first home. Much time was spent driving to various suburbs on my daughter's list and Deb kept in touch with her on. Regular basis, providing her with updated pictures and details of homes within her budget and desires. I will recommend Deb to anyone I know who is shopping for a realtor
